As a Naturopathic Doctor, I focus on restoring the body to optimal health through the use of IV nutritional therapy, Injection Therapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, prolotherapy, lifestyle recommendations and practices, as well as detoxification and cleansing protocols for each person’s specific requirements.
In this post we’ll discuss the details of IV nutritional therapy and how a Naturopathic Doctor can help you navigate the possible side effects of detoxification.
This is the final post in a 20-part series about how to detox your body, life and spirit. Make sure to check out the first post in the series, in which I share my healing journey that led to my becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. You can improve your nutritional profile in 60 minutes with intravenous targeted therapies.
Supplement your vitamins for 100% bioavailability. Let your cells reap the full potential of the nutrients by receiving Intravenous Vitamin therapy. Give your brain a boost and support your nervous system by adding amino acids to your nutrient bag.
We also offer lab testing that allows us to see where the patients have imbalances in their levels of vitamins, nutrients, neurotransmitters, hormones and heavy metals. This allows us to target protocols to your specific needs for fast and efficient results.
The Herxheimer Reaction is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body.
As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms.
This is a normal — and even healthy — reaction that indicates that parasites, fungi, viruses, bacteria or other pathogens are being effectively killed off.
The biggest problem with the Herxheimer reaction is that people stop taking the supplement or medication that is causing the reaction, and thus discontinue the very treatment that is helping to make them better. It is best to gradually release toxins from the body so these intense symptoms are kept at a minimum and compliance of the detoxification protocol is maintained.
Talk to your Naturopathic Doctor about supplements and protocols supporting detoxification and cleansing to avoid the above circumstance and detoxify and cleanse at a rate your body can handle.
