Simply choosing organic over non-organic foods can eliminate a number of harmful synthetic pesticides and preservatives that may prove detrimental to overall health.
Processed foods contain many synthetic chemicals. If possible, avoid processed foods at all cost. Choose unpacked, unprocessed whole food to see a real shift in your health and overall quality of life.
Organic vegetables tend to have higher nutritional value providing more nutrients to the body helps in supporting natural detoxification. By eating organic we our also able to reduce our risk of exposure to antibiotic resistant bacteria.
When you support organic farming you support more organic production and reduction of cost for good quality healthy food. As a result of supporting organic farms, you support better water and air quality hence lowering overall pollution.
Glyphosate, a chemical found in Roundup, is a common pesticide sprayed on most non-organic crops. Glyphosate is found to be especially high in corn, soy, cotton and wheat products. This chemical actually replaces the glycine molecule in DNA and RNA synthesis, this causes a disruption in the enzymatic function by chelating copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, nickel, cobalt and zinc.
Glyphosate not only affects DNA and RNA synthesis, it also affects the bioavailability of all B-vitamins and interrupts the protein conversion of the amino acid tryptophan.
Tryptophan is involved in the production of melatonin and serotonin synthesis, inherently creating a cascade of neurological dysfunction diseases and cancers. The above mechanism of action is the true definition of a genetically modified organism (GMO). (Source)
Shilajit is one of the best pesticide detoxifiers naturally available. It has recently been noted for its use in detoxification of glyphosate.
Shilajit contains vitamins, minerals and very porous humic and fulvic acid, both of which are known to remove heavy metals from the body. The porous cavities in fulvic and humic acid may help trap toxins, mobilize and remove them from stored areas. Fulvic acid, a key component of shilajit, essentially neutralizes estrogen byproducts and pesticides.
There are a few studies that point to shilajit and its roles in the prevention of Alzheimer’s. Fulvic acid assists the body in efficiently detoxifying free radicals and heavy metals, contributing to enhancing cognitive function. There is also a connection between Glyphosate and Alzheimer’s Disease. (Source 1, 2, 3)
